This is my lovely golden couch. The floral embroidery is accented with such beautiful hues of baby blue and olive green. Obviously with such neutral colors it matches everything I own. Everyone really should be jealous.

This lovely piece literally looks like a GIANT ball of yarn. And honestly I do think that is what its made of. This thing barely sits a foot from the floor and is no where near comfortable.

This is the couch my Mom gave me when I moved out into my apartment. I'd never insult a free couch, but I'll let you guys.

This couch is from the late 1960's - 1970's It was a couch that my parents own. It was well kept and moved to a bonus room, so it is in pretty good condition.

I bought this couch at the Salvation Army. I liked that it was ugly, vintage, and cheap. It even has a matching love seat! Well the dogs decided to make it their dog beds, the cats decided to use it as a scratching post, and I think my kids have been picking the foam off (although they deny it). We decided to have an ugly couch since we have animals and children.

This lovely couch is located in a Montgomery, Alabama home currently up for sale. Thank goodness it's not from my house.

This is my boyfriends couch. His mom's friend found out he didn't have a couch so told him he had one that he could have with a matching CHAIR! He did not realize what he was getting into until he showed up for the furniture and found this ugly satin with gold flocking living room set! Not only is it the ugliest thing I have ever seen (and it was a big relief to find out he didn't pick it out because he liked it so much!) but it is about as comfortable as i! t looks. The dogs like it though. They are especially fond of the fact that the cushions slide off the frame so easily. Makes for some interesting doggy games...

Saw this in a Rec. Center, through a window, screeched to a halt and got out my camera. Wow, who'd enjoy some time on some unfinished wood.

It was given to me free from our local church, seeing as I can't afford a new one. It feels very rough and has mold all over it, and the cushions are missing because they had way too many holes in it and too much mold so I had to throw them out.

Bought this couch from the salvation army 6 years ago. Loved how vintage it was. Now it's being used as a scratching post and a favorite sleeping place for the kitties. Sitting in the middle of our condos living room it's a huge eye sore and a cause of embarrassment.

This couch has been in our living for for the past 4 years. Before that, my fiance's sister had it for about 4 and before that her boss bought it new

Let me introduce you to Christine.  She is very ugly and pure evil.  She bites legs, devours wallets and the bed is held together by duct tape.  I need a new sofa that doesn’t threaten me and one that doesn’t look like a hideous flower explosion.  Please help me!

We tried to re-upholster the darn thing but kept having major failure, the couch was even uglier before.

This couch has had a colorful life from the pride & joy lounge room all the way to the kid's playroom. It's been a trampoline, dance floor, kicking bag and even a sleepover party bed by flipping it onto its back. It's still comfy and puts up with a lot!

Well, it used to be a Fulton; and it still is. It was given to me but I never liked it. As you can see, it is well used up and out of shape everywhere. I am looking for a new and up-to-date couch and hopfully I will win!

As the economy struggles in my small town, a lot of sofas are being returned to the wild. It must be something to do with cost of upkeep. This fine specimen, set free by my neighbor, has gone feral. Faded and split, the sofa valiantly defends its matching chair against the local predators. Too bad there is no smell-o-vision, because these two have been out in the constant rain for almost two weeks. Did I mention the donors were cat collectors as well? I love the smell of mold and cat pee in the morning!

Fort Scott, KS

As spring turns into summer, not all sofas released into the wild are faring well. This one, for example, was apparently mauled by a pack of hyenas.

I got this couch from a local woman who was selling it for $100. When she had no takers, she dropped the price to $50. Two weeks later, it went down to $25. A week later, FREE. After the ad stayed active for another week with no takers, I decided to give it a go. What makes this ugly couch so much uglier than most is that it comes with its very own matching ugly love seat! (Can you imagine even trying to sneak a kiss with some new love interest on this thing?)

Linda
Ferndale, WA

I got it for free! How cool is that.

This god awful couch is from the late 70s and lives in my parents' basement. They insist it was "the height of fashion" when they bought it. The stripes match up across the cushions, which was "a big selling point" according to mom. Because uniform ugliness is important. The couch is so ugly it has its own Facebook page, where fans agree that the curtains and animal(?) print carpet in my parents' basement is the perfect showcase for the World's Ugliest Couch.

We have 2 boxers that use the couch as a step stool to look out the window, and as a result they have ripped holes into 3 out of 4 cushions. After multiple attempts to sew the couch, there is just no repairing it. Money is tight right now, so we just deal with the embarrassment of what the couch looks like!

Born June 7,1979. These couches; once quite stylish in their infancy are the epitome of U-G-L-Y! Perhaps holding onto them for so long because they became a part of the family; held newborns, allowed resting bodies to relax, and were the place for friends to gather. We are ready to let go of you, and make way for a new beginning.
