They say, "Never put your photograph on a website, unless you've been told you are extremely beautiful, or handsome. Or, unless you are so famous that everyone will want to see your face."

Well, to be honest, I have never been told I am beautiful except in sarcasm. No one has ever said I am handsome except my mother, and I certainly am not famous.

Who are "They," and what do they know? To the right you will see a photo taken in Jubaul, Saudi Arabia during the Gulf War. (In case you were not born in 1991, I'm the one on the right.) Yes, I am a Gulf War Veteran.  If you were also in the Gulf, then we certainly did "chew the same dirt.." and we inhaled the same smoke from the oil fires.

I joined the Marines in 1983. I was 28 years old. As the oldest Recruit on the Island, fellow recruits called me "Papa Smurf."

Why at 28? It was to fulfill my life's dream of wearing those Dress Blues. I had been a small business owner and it was time to see the world.

After boot camp, it was only 8-10 hours a day. And boy did I get to see the world! It was like a paid vacation.

The first time I saw the movie Heartbreak Ridge, with Clint Eastwood, my heart went out to Gunny Highway when his former wife said to him, "What are you going to do when they won't let you play 'Marine' anymore?" He never did answer that question.

I wondered what it would be like when my day came, and I had to hang up my Dress Blues for the last time.

That day came in 1993, almost 10 years to the day I first arrived at Parris Island. "Papa Smurf" hung up his Dress Blues and went back home to Boston, Massachusetts. I still miss the Marine Corps.

With one eye on future opportunities, and the other eye on past experience, talk about an "Information Highway" sounded promising. Eventually it became a reality and I was there waiting.

The Internet gives me the opportunity to put all my hobbies and life skills to work on one mission, creating websites for businesses.
Having been a small business owner, I can see where they want to go, and it is my job to create the websites that will take them there.

Eventually it was time to carve out a section of this "Highway" for myself. Military Rings.com became my new mission. Battle plans were drawn up, and construction began.

MilitaryRings.com puts me in touch with America's finest men and women once again.

I take the service I provide visitors to my website as a personal mission to provide high quality rings that are affordable to every active duty service member and Veteran alike.

If I don't have the ring you want, I will find it for you. In some cases, I have created a ring out of public demand. My next such ring will be a Merchant Marine ring. I have had so many requests, and could not find a provider, I decided to make one myself.

If you stopped here first to check out our company, that's good consumer savvy. Make sure you know the people you are dealing with over the internet, as best you can. And please, do not use anything but a Secure Order Form when it comes to giving out your Credit Card information.

I hope you have gotten a better glimpse behind our website, and how I feel about our customers here at MilitaryRings.com. Go on inside our website and look around. Like I said, if you don't see it, let me know. I do not show all our rings on this website yet. If we do not have it, let me help you find it.

I am still looking for a W.W.II Army Air Corps Ring. If you happen to know where I can find one I will pass the information on to one of our guests who is looking for one.

God Bless America, And Her Veterans!
